AERO students took a field trip today to the Air Force Joint Base Andrews! They listened to different engineers talk about the KC-135, how the boom operates to refuel smaller jets while in the air, and how they have been able to keep it in commission for over 60 years. They were even able to walk around inside the plane and sit in the cockpit! They also visited the SparkX building and learned about how that program makes new ideas come to life.
