For the past two weeks, the Engineering Intensive students have been working in their groups to develop a product that would solve one of the fourteen Engineering Grand Challenges of the twenty-first century. They had to be specific about how their product would be built and function, as well as where they would get their funding and what types of companies would use their product. Their peers and TAs then had the opportunity to ask questions, which the group would answer to try to get them onboard with their product – similar to Shark Tank style presentations.
