Today our Cybersecurity students got the opportunity to hear from the Director of the Cyber Infrastructure Protection Innovation Center (CIPIC), Mark Bristow. He spoke to the students about the continuous precarious balance that is the cyber space and the threats that critical infrastructure in the U.S. faces everyday. He explained the link between cyber space and the physical world, and how the protection of that connection is paramount. He also gave some case studies of cyber threats that he and his team have  has worked on, including a Russian hack on Ukraine in 2015 that left 225,000 without power, the Colonial Pipeline hack of 2021, and the 2020 SolarWinds data breach.
