AERO students took another field trip today to the Air Force Joint Base Andrews! They listened to different engineers talk about the KC-135, how the boom operates to refuel smaller jets while in the air, and how they have been able to keep it in commission for over 60 years. They were even able to walk around inside the plane, sit in the cockpit, and take a look inside the engine! One of the most memorable moments from the trip was witnessing planes landing and taking off right outside the hanger.
