The students had a chance to tour Lockheed Martin in Washington DC, a global aerospace, defense, and security company, where they learned about aeronautics, missiles and fire control, rotary and mission systems, and space systems.

Later this afternoon, a trip to the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center – a branch of the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum – gave the students an opportunity to view some of the most famous and influential production and prototype aircraft ever made.
